| About: |
Watercolor Artisan, Michael Killelea will be teaching this class. Weather permitting; Michael will utilize the scenic surroundings of the Knox Farm State Park for his plein-air subject matter. The objective in this class is to paint, not to crate a painting. Mike’s philosophy on painting is, “All artists want to be better, whatever their medium or skill level. My most fervent desire is that students in my classes paint better when they’ve finished than when they came in. I work to accomplish that through demonstrations, positive reinforcement, hands-on constructive criticism and hard work. I’m a fanatic about plein air (outdoor) painting. While I recognize the challenges that can present, I’m also keenly aware that like any other exercise an individual is strengthened in the process. I’m an encouraging and enabling teacher who works deliberately to free students from the fear that, “I can’t get it right”.
Materials provided include: an HB drawing pencil, a kneaded eraser, one #10 round watercolor paint brush, a 400 Series (Strathmore 140 lb) Drawing Tablet and a folding plastic paint pallet. |
